Born in Manchester but raised in York, Ron is a Chartered Accountant who was transferred to Australia by his UK employers in 1968. He has often speculated as to their motives.
Now retired, he drifted into writing as a means of escaping the washing-up and has been reasonably successful in competitions organised by other FAW branches, the Best of Times and Partners in Crime. Several of his plays have been staged by the Armidale Playhouse as part of their ‘Favourite Shorts’ Festivals.
Ron joined FAW Southern Highlands in 2004 and presently serves as Vice President and Treasurer.
